The news is official – and very exciting. Now that rail company CSX has donated the last remaining section of the High Line to the city, Friends of the High Line will begin to implement plans for redevelopment of that area. On a private tour of the undeveloped space last spring, Great Museums got a chance to preview the extensive transformations in store for the neighborhood north of 30th St. The scheme calls for total integration with the Hudson Yards development from the rail yards to the river, which will perfectly position the completed Section 3 to become the hub of a new cultural, social and community center. What a gift to the City!
